Why isn’t 0 a natural number?
Because natural numbers can be mapped to objects. For example, the number 3 can be mapped to 3 fingers. And 3 fingers can be mapped to 3 goats.
Zero is the absence of objects, therefore it is not possible to map it to anything “natural”.
This is why it took so long for many cultures to understand it. Because it is not positively found in nature. Therefore, it is counterintuitive.
